History of Liverpool Jerseys

Before the famous all red home strip of Liverpool FC ever came to be, the club wore blue jerseys which resembled those of neighbors Everton. In 1924 the club adopted the city's color of red, but continued to wear white shorts until the 1964 season when Liverpool donned an all red for the first time against Anderlecht. The famous liver bird was official adopted as part of the club's badge in 1901, but wasn't actually incorporated into the uniform until 1955.
