The Columbus Crew’s retired legend, Brian McBride, has been memorialized for his greatness on the field. He played for Columbus from 1996-2004, so he obviously deserves a statue of himself, right? That may be so, but the weird thing about this whole story is that his statue is solely made out of Legos.
I guess this master piece was artfully created, but that doesn’t answer my question of WHY he was memorialized using Legos? It looks so awkward, creepy and, let’s not forget, funny.
Maybe LegoLand was his sponsor at one point in his career?
