After several talks and never ending speculation, Kenny Dalglish has finally signed a long term contract with Liverpool. The Kop legend was originally brought in to help out the club for the remainder of the season after Roy Hodgson was axed but recently decided to give him and his assistant, Steve Clarke, a three year contract.
Liverpool owner John Henry went on to praise Dalglish during a press event stating ”It was obvious to us very early on that the atmosphere surrounding the club had been transformed by his presence. No one else could have produced such a response. Therefore, I’m delighted we have agreed to a new contract. We didn’t need nor want to look elsewhere for the right man to manage the team.”
With the owner’s full backing and an in form team, King Kenny’s team is looking promising for next season.
