With all the National Team jerseys that I have seen so far, I think the Puma v 1.10 jerseys that will be worn by the African Nations Cameroon, Ghana and Ivory Coast, have to be some of the best. Let me give a quick run down of what makes these jerseys so great.
- Fitted: If you follow soccer closely, you may have noticed the recent trend of more form fitting jerseys. The first looks at this that I can remember, take me back to the Italian National Team and Roma of Serie A when their uniforms were produced by Kappa. Since then, several team jerseys made by Nike and adidas seem to be much more snug, with adidas taking it to the next level with their new Techfit jerseys. That being said, the new African Nation jerseys by Puma follow suit and feature a very form fitting, almost compression look. This new tighter look gives the players a very clean and professional look out on the pitch.
- Detail: If you look closely at the jerseys of Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, they all have very intricate detail on the upper right arm/shoulder. The Ivory Coast home kit has an amazing looking elephant, while the other have a themed image of their own.
- Design: Puma has done really well in keeping with the theme of the African Nations with the bold and bright colors of the jerseys. In addition, the stripes on the away jerseys have a hand painted look giving them an even more authentic African vibe.
