Barcelona Home Jersey Design

The 2011/2012 Barcelona Home Jersey release is a historic moment in Barcelona history, as it is the first time the club’s  home and away jerseys will feature a paid sponsor. Taking the highly coveted space on the front of Barcelona’s jerseys for the next five years is the Qatar Foundation, a non-profit organization that works with education projects in the Middle East. The Qatar Foundation logo will replace the iconic UNICEF logo which has now been moved to the bottom back of both jerseys.

Beyond the sponsorship change, the new Nike Barcelona Home Jersey 2011/2012 is noticeably different in design than last years 2010/2011 Barcelona Home Jersey. Gone are the gold neck and sleeve accents, while a new stripe pattern sets this latest home jersey away from those of the past. Narrowing from the upper right to the lower left, the 9 red stripes give the Barcelona jersey a bold new look.

Rounding out the look, the Barcelona Home Jersey 2011/2012 features several small details further representing the club. Printed on the inside back of the club crest is “Tots units fem força” meaning “All United, We Have the Strength” and printed on the inside back neck is “mes que un club” meaning “More than a Club”.

Barcelona Home Jersey Fabric

Like all other replica Nike soccer jerseys, the 2011/2012 Barcelona Home Jersey is constructed of lightweight and breathable Dri-FIT fabric. Each jersey is made from the equivalent of eight recycled plastic bottles. Dri-FIT moisture wicking technology helps keep you dry and comfortable by moving sweat away from the skin to the fabric’s surface, where it quickly evaporates. Dri-FIT mesh panels down the sides enhance ventilation in high-heat areas.
