Nike’s Green Speed Cleats Coming August 15th

We are proud to announce that Nike’s hottest cleat release yet to hit the shelves this summer is will be available at August 15th. Introducing the Nike GS FG Soccer Shoes in Volt and Black. These are the most environmentally designed cleats in soccer history, with a combined selection of 95% recycled and renewable materials.

With a signature green toe, and tons of style that reminds us of the latest upgrade in the Nike Mercurial family, the Vapor VIII, this boot is like a feather when it comes to weight, only 160 grams for a size 9. That’s a whopping 70 grams lighter than the Nike Vapor Superfly III FG.

Nike GS Construction

The boot laces, tongue and lining are all made from a minimum of 70% recycled materials. The toe-board and collar feature 15% recycled materials. Th Nike GS traction plate and chassis are a strong and responsive combination made from half renewable Pebax® Renew (a plant made from 97% castor beans) and half renewable TPU. The result is a traction plate that is 15% lighter weight than traditional boots.

The solvent-free Kanga Lite synthetic upper offers targeted reinforcement and minimal layering for exceptional touch and control, with the most snug and enhanced fit. The chemical free sockliner is the same color as the boot toe, bright volt green and is made from 100% castor beans. With anatomical stud placement on the outsole, your traction is optimized for the best in speed and instant acceleration.
