When the first edition of the Nike GS Concept soccer cleats released, a frenzy flourished and when the dust settled, every retailer was sold out within minutes. This time, Nike wised up and produced far more pairs of Nike GS II FG cleats, now with a white toe, and All Conditions Control (ACC) technology, these boots are even better than the first. The best part: they’re only $250.
The Nike GS2 is the most environmentally friendly boot on the market. The intrinsic minimalist style and construction deliver a ultra-lightweight chassis in a stylish and comfortable boot. If you don’t believe us, just ask any of the best young players to showcase the Nike GS II, like Theo Walcott, Eden Hazard, Raheem Sterling, Christian Eriksen and El Shaarawy.
The familiar design of the original GS continues to be engineered in Italy. The upper is a sharp contrast of black with a white toe. The ACC decal is featured on the lateral mid-foot, in exclusive safari print from Nike. The toe is a solvent-free Kanga-Lite synthetic that optimizes control and touch in all conditions, originating from a special treatment of the Kanga-Lite material during its development.
At only 160 grams (size 9), the GS2 is also a speed demon’s dream. The outsole and traction plate are a responsive and high-agility renewable Pebax(R) Rnew (derived from 97% castor beans) and a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) from renewable materials. A traction plate designed with a diamond-silhouette spine offers great flex through the foot and the anatomically positioned studs offer omni-directional stability and traction.
Within the shoe, the asymmetrical heel counter locks the foot in place for comfortable stability, at any pace of acceleration. A lightweight sock liner has no top cloth to shed weight and eliminate additional materials and processing.
