I've had these pants for about 2 weeks now and I used them to dance and workout. They fit nicely and don't get too hot. On the other hand, if you keep things in your pockets and workout til you're sweaty, the things in your pockets will get sweaty too. Unfortunately, the fabric (100% polyester) is not very resistant to high temperatures caused by friction - I slid on my knees on wooden flooring and a spot of fabric melted as a result. Sweatpants would probably be better if you're a dancer like me.
