Predator LZ Differences

Attempting to get their share of the growing control silo of cleats that includes the very popular Nike CTR360 line, adidas has released the Predator LZ. Even as the most successful range of adidas soccer cleats ever, the Predator line has sometimes left players complaining about its weight and bulk. Those complaints are now a thing of the past with the inclusion of a new hybrid synthetic upper and adidas' famous Sprint Frame outsole.

The big visual change on the Predator LZ comes from the five all new "Lethal Zones" (hence the LZ in the name) which have been engineered into the upper for pro level control. Zone 1 includes spaced out ribs designed for many quick, small contacts with the ball for improved dribbling. Zone 2 has recessed ribs on the top of the toe area to cushion ball impact and provide instant control. Zone 3 is the sweet spot on the inner toe area which uses base connected 3D ribs to allow for longer ball contact and improved spin on shots. Zone 4 uses raised 3D shapes on the instep of each cleat to create a rebound affect and give better distance on passes. Finally, Zone 5 is located on the inner side of each foot and uses memory foam to help receive passes.

Predator LZ Colors

As with other soccer cleats from adidas, new colorways of each line are released approximately every 3 months. Most new colorways are debuted a few weeks before they launch by the adidas professional players who where them in the top leagues around the world.
