adiPower Predator Technology
With an all time high emphasis on speed in soccer, adidas has redesigned the the Predator to address those needs. By incorporating adidas Sprint Frame technology in the new adiPower Predator, adidas was able to reduce the weight of the shoes by 25% while making it the lightest and most powerful Predator ever. Sprint Frame technology is a lightweight outsole first used in adidas' wildly popular F50 adiZero line which debuted last year.
Originally known for the revolutionary Predator Element on the inside of each Predator cleat, the new adiPower version features the silicon rubber element split into two seperate performance zones. The first zone known as the 'Power Zone' is integrated into the adidas stripes with 3D fins that rebound upon ball impact leading to additional striking power. The second zone or 'Swerve Zone' made up of a hexagonal pattern is an even and soft surface which causes higher friction and more swerve by staying in contact with the ball longer.
